Requesting a Server Reboot or OS Reinstall

Requesting a Server Reboot or OS Reinstall

Soft Reboot (from SSH)

If you have SSH access, you can reboot your server yourself:

reboot

The server will be back online within 1–3 minutes.

Hard Reboot (SSH Unresponsive)

If SSH is unresponsive and the server appears offline:

  1. Log into your client area
  2. Navigate to your service details
  3. Use the Reboot button if available
  4. Or open a Technical Support ticket requesting a hard reboot

OS Reinstall

Warning: A reinstall wipes all data and installs a fresh operating system. This action cannot be undone. Back up all important data first.

  1. Back up all important files, databases, and configurations
  2. Open a Technical Support ticket requesting an OS reinstall
  3. Specify your preferred OS (e.g., Ubuntu 22.04, AlmaLinux 9, Debian 12, Windows Server 2022)
  4. We will confirm with you before proceeding
  5. Once complete, you will receive new login credentials via email
