Setting Up a Palworld Dedicated Server

Step 1 — Install SteamCMD

add-apt-repository multiverse -y
dpkg --add-architecture i386
apt update
apt install steamcmd -y

Step 2 — Download Palworld Server Files

adduser steam && su - steam
steamcmd +force_install_dir ~/palworld +login anonymous +app_update 2394010 validate +quit

Step 3 — Generate Default Config

cd ~/palworld
./PalServer.sh

Stop it after a few seconds. Config files are now created.

Step 4 — Configure the Server

nano ~/palworld/Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini
[/Script/Pal.PalGameWorldSettings]
OptionSettings=(ServerName="My Palworld Server",ServerDescription="Welcome!",AdminPassword="adminpass",ServerPassword="joinpass",ServerPlayerMaxNum=32,PublicPort=8211)

Step 5 — Open Firewall Ports

ufw allow 8211/udp
ufw allow 8211/tcp

Step 6 — Start the Server

screen -S palworld ~/palworld/PalServer.sh

Connect from Palworld

In the game, select Join Multiplayer Game and enter your server IP and port (YOUR_SERVER_IP:8211).
